Job Description
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee on-site distribution and warehousing activities in a fast-paced manufacturing and supply chain environment. This full-time position is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse functions, including inventory control, inbound and outbound logistics, order fulfillment, and continuous process improvement.
This role leads all receiving and shipping activities, ensures accurate system transactions, and manages customer and supplier returns. The Warehouse Operations Manager works closely with cross-functional partners to communicate inventory availability, shipment delays, and order constraints, while proactively adjusting schedules to address material shortages, design changes, labor constraints, or operational disruptions. Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, and material movement
Ensure timely and accurate data entry for all warehouse transactions within the ERP system
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and communicate backorders or delivery delays to internal stakeholders
Manage customer returns, vendor returns, and service exchanges in accordance with established procedures
Adjust warehouse priorities and schedules to support production and customer commitments amid changing conditions
Serve as a primary ERP system user for warehouse and inventory-related functions
Develop, update, and improve shipping and material handling procedures in partnership with internal teams
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to meet performance, quality, and safety expectations
Monitor and maintain material handling equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and throughput
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational objectives
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse operations with direct people management responsibility
Advanced ERP system experience required, particularly in inventory control and material management functions
Demonstrated ability to lead teams using effective supervisory and performance management practices
Strong working knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse processes
Experience with standard shipping and distribution procedures
High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills
Comfortable working with warehouse management systems and related software tools
