Position Summary
The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the Human Resources function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will oversee and execute day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, payroll, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as experience managing HR processes in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, etc.).

  • Conduct and document employee relations investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolutions with fairness and consistency.

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all wage and hour regulations.

  • Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.

  • Manage and administer employee benefits, leave programs, and open enrollment processes.

  • Maintain and update employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Partner with supervisors and leadership to improve workplace culture, employee engagement, and retention.

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices to align with organizational goals.

  • Support safety and compliance initiatives in partnership with EHS and Operations teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Experience with payroll processing systems and HRIS platforms.

  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
