Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer to lead the design and development of products used in the protection and control of power generation, transmission, distribution, and motor systems. This includes protective relays, voltage regulators, genset controllers, power bridges, excitation systems, and more. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for crafting innovative electrical designs, ensuring integration with other systems, and driving projects to completion with efficiency and technical expertise.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer to lead the design and development of products used in the protection and control of power generation, transmission, distribution, and motor systems. This includes protective relays, voltage regulators, genset controllers, power bridges, excitation systems, and more. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for crafting innovative electrical designs, ensuring integration with other systems, and driving projects to completion with efficiency and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development: Lead the development of electrical/electronic designs based on customer and product specifications. Ensure designs meet both technical and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including firmware and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
System Design: Develop system-level designs for controllers, power bridges, protection equipment, power supplies, signal conductors, and HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
Circuit Design: Create detailed circuit designs that may include high-speed digital systems, microprocessors, FPGAs, analog systems, input sensing, output control, power electronics, and more.
Design Optimization: Select proven components and parts, perform electrical stress analysis, and optimize designs for reliability and efficiency.
Design Documentation: Generate electrical schematics, bills of materials, and detailed system specifications. Collaborate with technical writers to ensure clarity in user manuals and technical documentation.
Prototyping & Testing: Evaluate design concepts through theoretical studies, proof-of-concept models, or prototypes, ensuring all designs meet specifications and pass necessary testing and reviews.
Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
Quality Control: Review test data, verify accuracy of schematics and PCBs, and ensure final designs meet quality standards before release to production.
Project Coordination: Manage design activities, ensure timely project completion, and coordinate with other departments, including Mechanical Engineering, to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Travel: Participate in project-related travel for training, technical support, or on-site assistance as needed.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of electrical/electronic design experience, with a proven track record in leading product design projects.
Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of complex design tasks.
Clear, effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with customers, technical teams, and cross-functional departments.
Proficiency with engineering design and simulation tools.
Solid understanding of electrical/electronic components, systems, and industry best practices.
Strong coordination and leadership skills to effectively manage project teams and timelines.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proactive in staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
Willingness to travel as needed for project support or training.
