Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer Bachelor s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6 years of relevant Accounting experience. This would include a manufacturing background in Cost Accounting
- CA or CPA Candidate Preferred
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with internal and external business partners, and strong interpersonal skills, including verbal & written
- Self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
REQUIREMENTS:
- Perform Cost Accounting Duties and Analysis
- Review and analyze the general ledger and trial balance
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform GL and balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations including research of reconciling items
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve any variances
- Track all capital expenditures, update fixed assets, and depreciation schedule
- Prepare analytics over monthly financial results and report on variances versus prior periods to efficiently report results to upper management and internal business partners
- Participate in improving processes through automation, analysis, and researching best practices
- Assist with the monthly and annual close process, ensuring close deadlines are met
- Ability to analyze financial data and working knowledge of financial statements
- Maintain daily cash deposits and recording to the G/L
- Trained to be backup to Accounting Manager for transactional accounting such as A/P
- Reconcile online Salesforce shop to bank and investigate variances
- Take on other accounting duties and projects as needed
- Assist with the various detailed analyses and reports for annual independent CPA audit
SOFTWARE SKILLS:
- Epicor(kinetic) experience. Experience with one or more ERP migrations would be ideal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Products including Excel, able and eager to learn new software skills
