Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our metal plating and finishing department. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal plating processes (e.G., electroplating, anodizing, passivation, etc.) and a strong understanding of manufacturing best practices, quality standards, and team leadership. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of plating and finishing production teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, and environmental/safety regulations.

  • Oversee process control, chemical maintenance, and equipment functionality within the plating line.

  • Train, coach, and develop employees on proper operating procedures, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor workflow, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve processes, reduce waste, and optimize throughput.

  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and performance metrics (KPI tracking).

  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in metal plating, electroplating, or finishing operations (required).

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of surface finishing processes, chemical handling, and plating equipment.

  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems (preferred).

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process specifications.

  • Proficient with basic computer systems (ERP, MS Office).

  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
