DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Technician is also a Team leader. The team leader will direct, coach, and teach as required to accomplish the objectives of good manufacturing practices.
At all times this team leader is responsible for the plant safety and plant security.
At all times the Maintenance Technician is directly responsible for process safety, and the development and optimization of the manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

REPORTING
This position reports to the General Manager.
The Maintenance Technician is also a Team leader. The team leader will direct, coach, and teach as required to accomplish the objectives of good manufacturing practices.

At all times the Maintenance Technician is directly responsible for process safety, and the development and optimization of the manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
- Manage routine maintenance and emergency repairs to prevent and resolve safety or comfort issues and keep unscheduled downtime to a minimum.
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair and maintenance.
- Communicate with coworkers to coordinate installations or repairs.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Clean work areas.
- Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.
- Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.
- Continually develop individual skills in the areas of leadership and teamwork.
- Always maintain a safe working atmosphere.
- Monitoring all work process for safe working conditions
- Practice proper working procedures.
- Report all violations in safety policies to an operations manager.
- Report any incident or near misses to an operations manager.
- Maintain LOTO.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- HS education with 3 years of experience in a manufacturing atmosphere
- Trade School 2 years
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on independent projects and as a member or leader of a team.
REPORTING
This position reports to the General Manager.
