The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance activities in the manufacturing facility during the 3rd shift. They will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment and machinery are functioning efficiently and effectively. 3rd shift hours are 7: 30pm-6am. 4-10 hour shifts and every other weekend off.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any potential issues or malfunctions.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Install, dismantle, and reassemble machinery and equipment as needed.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and other maintenance emergencies.
- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to prioritize and plan maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
- Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles.
