Job Description
EHS Coordinator - $26-30/HR (Environmental Health and Safety)
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance:- Ensure adherence to OSHA, FDEP, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and audits to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
Training and Education:- Develop and deliver safety training programs to enhance employee awareness and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of safe work practices and environmental responsibility.
Hazard Management:- Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain accurate safety program records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and submit required reports and permits to regulatory agencies.
Emergency Preparedness:- Continuously update and improve emergency response plans.
- Conduct emergency drills to ensure readiness for situations such as spills, fires, and other emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of EH&S experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and industrial safety practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, or CHMM are advantageous.
