QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven years or more of experience within the food industry
  • Three years in the role of Director Of Operations
  • Well versed in manufacturing practices and processing
  • Must be well organized and able to multi-task several daily tasks
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Food Service Certificate, HACCP Certificate
  • Performance-oriented management, fiscal and supervisory skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledge of products and customers
  • Adheres to the company s quality policy and corporate objectives
  • Determines the organizational structure for the company and ensures its continuing success and profitability
  • Implements the strategic vision determined by the board of directors
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the company
  • Responsible for providing adequate resources to ensure the HACCP/Food Safety Plan is implemented and maintained
  • Recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate employees
  • Supervise week-to-week employee performance.
  • Scheduling of weekly manufacturing runs
  • Create a team environment
  • Implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of SSOP s and HACCP
  • Inventory of Products and Supplies
  • Research and Development and review Quality of Products
  • Upkeep of Machinery and Plant Facilities
  • Overseeing of Customers coming to the Facility
  • P & L Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assist in the planning and implementation of new projects
  • Crisis Response Coordinator
    • To oversee and initiate actions arising from a crisis
    • To communicate all details of the crisis to the president and CMT
    • To support implementation of controls to ensure food safety and quality is not compromised and support measures taken to verify the acceptability of product prior to release
    • To coordinate and communicate with plant managers to ensure proper actions are executed
    • To train and verify the CMT
    • To plan and support continuous improvement pertaining to crisis management and employee safety
  • To maintain company safety standards, polices, procedures and the execution of those standards
  • Member of Recall Team with duties:
    • Directs assembly and security of recall action log.
    • Manage data record files, production reports and AR reports related to product in question.
    • Directs receipt and documentation of recovered and disposal of faulty product.
  • Uphold, maintain, and support a healthy food safety culture, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and food safety objectives within the site that ensures:
    • Adequate resources are funded, according to requirements or decisions made by the food safety team or other partners.
    • Empowerment to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
    • Positively encourage continuous improvements that may include the development, implementation, and maintenance of the current SQF System.
    • Ensure all direct reports are informed and held accountable of any food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
