2nd Shift Maintenance TechnicianJob Description:
The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing plants and equipment. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. The technician will work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure the highest levels of productivity and quality.
Job Responsibilities:
2nd shift opening for a plant that is normally scheduled for 2-shifts, 5-6 days per week. Some weekend projects will be involved.
The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing plants and equipment. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. The technician will work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure the highest levels of productivity and quality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to identify any maintenance needs
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed repairs
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment and upgrades
- Train and mentor junior technicians as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of industrial machinery and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
- 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or packaging industry
- Knowledge of corrugated packaging and retail display systems
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
